Car sharing counts on drivers returning cars on time and communicating with Drift if they need to extend their trip. Otherwise, trust can be broken and car owners may not be able to use their cars when they’d like. If a trip cannot be extended and a vehicle is returned more than two hours late, the driver will be charged 2x the daily rate plus a $25 late fee.
